Stone patios, walls & walkways in Mattapoisett, MA.
In Mattapoisett, stonework answers to harbor frontage and wooded coastal lots along Buzzards Bay and to sandy coastal loam over stony till underneath it. An old shipbuilding harbor with wooded coastal lots. We build the whole range — terraces, walls, walks, steps, and pool surrounds — much of it alongside Jonathan Keep Landscape Design.
What We Build in Mattapoisett
Seven disciplines, one standard of craft.
We serve all of Mattapoisett — from Mattapoisett Village, Ned’s Point, and Crescent Beach — and the surrounding South Coast towns, working from our base in Marlborough, MA. Cleiton Landscape & Masonry has hand-built stone patios, walls, and walkways across the region since 2008.
The antique captains’ houses and shingled waterfront homes here set the direction, and harbor frontage and wooded coastal lots along Buzzards Bay sets the scale. That usually means hand-set fieldstone and bluestone detailed to look original to the house rather than applied to it.
Constantly. We routinely execute plans for landscape architects and designers, building to spec with millimeter precision — much of our work in ongoing collaboration with Jonathan Keep Landscape Design.
Yes. This was a shipbuilding town before it was a summer one, and the harbor still takes the full southwest fetch — waterside stonework here is built for weather, not for photographs. And because the land here is sandy coastal loam over stony till, with the old walls proving how much stone is in it, we plan the base and drainage for those conditions from the first day on site.
