Central MA · Worcester County, Massachusetts
Stone patios, walls & walkways in Princeton, MA.
A rural mountain town on the flank of Wachusett where large-lot estates and gentleman's farms expect stonework that looks quarried from the hillside itself. We have been building stone across Central MA since 2008, and in Princeton that means working over thin glacial till over granite ledge and glacial erratics, around high, ledgy slopes rising toward Wachusett Mountain, with boulder-strewn pasture, stone-walled acreage, and long open views, and to the standard the antique center-chimney colonials here expect.
What We Build in Princeton
Seven disciplines, one standard of craft.
We serve all of Princeton — from Princeton Center, East Princeton, and Russell Corner — and the surrounding Central MA towns, working from our base in Marlborough, MA. Cleiton Landscape & Masonry has hand-built stone patios, walls, and walkways across the region since 2008.
Constantly. We routinely execute plans for landscape architects and designers, building to spec with millimeter precision — much of our work in ongoing collaboration with Jonathan Keep Landscape Design.
The antique center-chimney colonials here set the direction, and high, ledgy slopes rising toward Wachusett Mountain, with boulder-strewn pasture, stone-walled acreage, and long open views sets the scale. That usually means hand-set fieldstone and bluestone detailed to look original to the house rather than applied to it.
A natural-stone patio typically runs $30–$60+ per square foot installed. In Princeton the swing usually comes from access and from how deep we have to excavate over thin glacial till over granite ledge and glacial erratics — you get an itemized scope after we walk the property.
