Stone patios, walls & walkways in Stowe, VT.
Mansfield-side mountain estates and slopeside compounds. From our base in Marlborough, Cleiton Landscape & Masonry hand-builds patios, walls, and walkways across Stowe’s mountain valley and slopeside grades beneath Mount Mansfield — set on stony mountain till over bedrock, matched to its timber-and-stone mountain lodges and slopeside estates, and built in ongoing collaboration with Jonathan Keep Landscape Design.
What We Build in Stowe
Seven disciplines, one standard of craft.
Constantly. We routinely execute plans for landscape architects and designers, building to spec with millimeter precision — much of our work in ongoing collaboration with Jonathan Keep Landscape Design.
The timber-and-stone mountain lodges and slopeside estates here set the direction, and mountain valley and slopeside grades beneath Mount Mansfield sets the scale. That usually means hand-set fieldstone and bluestone detailed to look original to the house rather than applied to it.
We serve all of Stowe — from Stowe Village, Mountain Road, and Spruce Peak — and the surrounding Central Vermont towns, working from our base in Marlborough, MA. Cleiton Landscape & Masonry has hand-built stone patios, walls, and walkways across the region since 2008.
Yes. Stowe’s mountain grades and deep alpine frost mean footings go far below anything a lowland job needs — a base built for MetroWest would not last a winter here. And because the land here is stony mountain till over bedrock, with the deepest frost we build in, we plan the base and drainage for those conditions from the first day on site.
