On flat filled riverfront along the Charles rising to the drumlin heights of Avon Hill and West Cambridge, we take a property from rough grade to finished landscape: drainage and earthwork first, because a landscape that fights water never looks settled, then stonework, plantings, and the details that make a yard feel resolved.

Working over soft river clay and fill near the Charles over Cambridge Argillite bedrock, firming to glacial till on the hills, we start under the surface so the finished Cambridge property sheds water, stays dry where it should, and never undermines the stonework above it.
