Sometimes the project is not a wall or a patio — it is the whole site. On wooded ridges and gently sloping estate lots, many on an acre or more, we take a property from rough grade to finished landscape: drainage and earthwork first, because a landscape that fights water never looks settled, then stonework, plantings, and the details that make a yard feel resolved.

Working over rocky glacial till over frequent ledge, which drains unevenly and rewards a deep, engineered base, we start under the surface so the finished Weston property sheds water, stays dry where it should, and never undermines the stonework above it.

Walls, patios, walkways, steps, and planting beds succeed when one crew builds them in the right sequence. We coordinate the hardscape and the softscape so the stone frames the plantings and the plantings soften the stone — tuned to the shingle-style, stone-and-clapboard colonials, and gentleman’s-farm estates of Highland, Hastings, and Silver Hill and the wider MetroWest.

It is the difference between a resolved landscape and two trades fighting over the same ground.

Weston’s large-lot zoning and an active conservation commission mean setbacks, wetlands buffers, and drainage are scrutinized — we build to survive that review, not around it.

On full-site projects we are frequently the execution crew for landscape architects and designers — much of our MetroWest work in ongoing collaboration with Jonathan Keep Landscape Design. We read plans fluently, flag conflicts before they become change orders, and build exactly what was drawn.
