Sometimes the project is not a wall or a patio — it is the whole site. On drumlin hills bounded by the Charles River, with tight and estate lots side by side, we take a property from rough grade to finished landscape: drainage and earthwork first, because a landscape that fights water never looks settled, then stonework, plantings, and the details that make a yard feel resolved.

Working over firm glacial till on the hills, softer ground near the river, we start under the surface so the finished Needham property sheds water, stays dry where it should, and never undermines the stonework above it.

Walls, patios, walkways, steps, and planting beds succeed when one crew builds them in the right sequence. We coordinate the hardscape and the softscape so the stone frames the plantings and the plantings soften the stone — tuned to the renovated colonials and new-build estates on established streets of Bird’s Hill, Charles River Village, and Needham Heights and the wider MetroWest.

It is the difference between a resolved landscape and two trades fighting over the same ground.

Needham blends close-set neighborhoods with estate pockets, so access and neighbor-considerate staging matter as much as the stonework itself.

On full-site projects we are frequently the execution crew for landscape architects and designers — much of our MetroWest work in ongoing collaboration with Jonathan Keep Landscape Design. We read plans fluently, flag conflicts before they become change orders, and build exactly what was drawn.
