Sometimes the project is not a wall or a patio — it is the whole site. On steep in-town hills — Fisher Hill, Aspinwall — with compact, walled grounds, we take a property from rough grade to finished landscape: drainage and earthwork first, because a landscape that fights water never looks settled, then stonework, plantings, and the details that make a yard feel resolved.

Working over firm urban till, with grade changes that lean on retaining structure, we start under the surface so the finished Brookline property sheds water, stays dry where it should, and never undermines the stonework above it.

Walls, patios, walkways, steps, and planting beds succeed when one crew builds them in the right sequence. We coordinate the hardscape and the softscape so the stone frames the plantings and the plantings soften the stone — tuned to the brick townhouses, Victorians, and stone estates on tight historic lots of Fisher Hill, Cottage Farm, and Aspinwall Hill and the wider Greater Boston.
