On wooded slopes rising into the Blue Hills, with Milton Hill above the Neponset, we take a property from rough grade to finished landscape: drainage and earthwork first, because a landscape that fights water never looks settled, then stonework, plantings, and the details that make a yard feel resolved.
Working over shallow soil over the famous Milton granite in places — hard, handsome bedrock, we start under the surface so the finished Milton property sheds water, stays dry where it should, and never undermines the stonework above it.
Stone and softscape, together
Walls, patios, walkways, steps, and planting beds succeed when one crew builds them in the right sequence.
